HOME BUILDERS CELEBRATE THEIR OWN
AT AN "OUT OF THIS WORLD" EVENT!
Barrie, ON – One hundred and forty of the brightest and best in the Simcoe County Home Building industry gathered last week to honour the winners of the 2011-2012 ACE Housing Awards. ACE stands for Awards of Creative Excellence and the audience “oooed and ahhhed” their way through finalists and winning projects submitted by the Members of Canadian Home Builders Association - Simcoe County.
The Evening's title sponsor was Enbridge Gas Distribution which was honoured for their involvement in local Associations across the province.
From the opening monologue to a lightsaber duel by none other than Darth (Heljar Hansen) Vader and Obe-Wan (Bruce Bolduc) Kenobi – to an amazing décor, gourmet meal and professional production – the evening was part of the annual President’s Gala. This year, Heljar Hansen, CHBA-Simcoe County President (and President of Pratt Hansen Group) was the honouree, although tribute was paid to each of the Past Presidents at the event…assigning each a "star wars" character in the opening skit.
"It was a wonderful event!" exclaimed Committee Member Dorothy Stewart of the Enbridge, "a sell-out crowd, exciting program and the projects were incredible!" Stewart was referring to the submissions, which doubled in number over last year's premier event.
